The Guardians

For centuries the Guardians have been those that protect no matter what the cost. They originated with a single man that set out on a journey to discover the world’s untold secrets, its powers, its weaknesses, but he had not realised how important his journey was to be. This one man’s journey soon turned into the beginnings of an underground movement committed to the investigation and, ultimately, protection of all Earth’s living creatures.

Their origins can be traced back on a parallel course with the Department of Preternatural Affairs, or its precursors, was established by the various Governments around the world. It was not long after their teams of highly trained and highly equipped soldiers were being sent out to capture supernatural creatures and force them into scientific experiments to better humanity. Since the Guardian’s mission began they have been a constant thorn in the side of the DPA and other Governmental agencies. They Guardians are viewed as a significant threat by many Governments, including the United State of America and Great Britain.

The Guardians are a loosely held organisation that relies heavily upon the financial and political support of a few undisclosed individuals. The dominance of the DPA across this area of expertise is felt globally and the Guardian’s supporters are very wise to stay anonymous. There are very few loud supporters of the Guardians that publicly acknowledge their support. However, the Guardians enjoy usage of up to date technology sourced to them by their investors and are with the careful management of their resources then can survive underground for many months before having to resurface.

Split into many cells across the planet their organisation is largely administered by the members themselves, but their international leader; Dr Jacob Garrison, is based in the UK cell. The Guardians view other members as members of their family and the majority would happily give their life to save another. Often housed in secure and isolated venues such as abandoned military outposts on the sea or expansive estates they are able to provide the protection that is required by countless numbers of their inhabitants.

With the outbreak of the war their mission has never been more important. Not only must they protect the innocent creatures that will be caught in the cross fire of the Vampires and the Humans, but they are actively seek a negotiation to ceasefire to bring about an era of peace for the Earth.
