Hamadryad

Origin: Are found across the globe in densely wooded areas.

Lifespan: Roughly 300 years.

Allegiance: Neutral but do sympathise with the Guardians.

General Appearance: Small and lean, these creatures are similar looking to elves and are part of the nymph family. So connected are they to trees that they share some plant like characteristics, it differs from every Hamadryad, some may have bark for hair or others leaves and some may crave sunlight.

Characteristics: They are a peaceful race who live among trees to which they are bonded. A wise and ancient race, they are often sought out as advisors and negotiators. With the woodland being used as battlegrounds and a place for evil to hide, they are now more outspoken with the goal of being left out of the war while keeping their lands intact.

Strengths: They are quick and nimble and can out run humans easily.

Weaknesses: If the tree they are bonded to dies then so do they. Although physically more durable, they aren’t as strong as other races.
